Welcome to Tech Free SF, a gathering place for information about tech resistance, minimalism and usage in the SF Bay Area.

Inspired by the work done by NYC Off Tech, The Peoples Circuit and other neo-luddite groups on the east coast, we felt it was time to organize those working to break free of big tech and reclaim technology for the individual not the corporation. Technology should be a tool used by individuals to live a better life and improve the world. not a vector for control and profit.

We hope to gather people together to share information about how to separate from big tech, take ownership over their relationship with technology and acknowledge that technology is always a choice, no matter what the people selling it might say.
